I talked to a friend from Venezuela today.  When I asked how things
were going he replied he was, “en la lucha.”  Meaning in the fight. 
While that phrase is just figure of speech in Venezuela, it always
reminds me of the importance of staying in the fight.  There is always
a chance the business, the marriage, the situation (whatever it might
be,) will work out well as long as we stay in the fight.  On the other
hand, the minute we abandon the fight, the business, the marriage or
the situation is over.  Often times the victory doesn’t go to the
swift.  It commonly goes to the person who stays in the fight and slogs
along day after day giving his or her best effort.  Don’t give up and
don’t get discouraged.  As long as you stay in the fight there’s always
hope.
