Jeff Cornwall over at The Entrepreneurial Mind Blog wrote a great piece today entitled Accountants Are From Mars, Entrepreneurs Are From Venus,
illustrating the need to “speak the language” of the people you are
trying to communicate with.  Since he says it so eloquently I’ll let
you read it for yourself, rather than put my spin on it.

One thing I will say is that if you are a manager / entrepreneur and
haven’t yet read the book, “Finance and Accounting for the
Non-Financial Manager,” you need to get the book and read it.  It will
give you a base in understanding accounting, and help you in your
ability to communicate with accountants.  Consider this book a
“must-read” for all managers.
